You are having a very good state rank but you will get admisson the basis of your AIR(all India rank) if your rank is below 5000 then you can easily get a good seat in any of the top NITs last year there were 20 NITs and 10 new NITs has been added this year so this year cutoff list will go low and chances of getting admission will be more so here is a link for you where you can get the cutoff of last year(institute wise)
