Both are equal in opportunity and in demand in their respective sector.Both high profile courses compete equally in the market.Actually, MBA is sutiable for guys who have good leadership qualities, best in decision making,good communication skills while MCA is for those who have techincial skill and ready to update thier knowlegde daily.The kind of work you do in MCA is purely technical while in MBA is non-technical.
While comparing the pay scale MCA vs MBA,the it totally depend upon many factors like
College or institute you are doing your MBA or MCA like if you are doing your MBA form IIMs or XLRI.FMS.DMI etc then obviously your salary will be higher then any MCA.
But if you are doing your MCA form areputesd institute like NITs and some other institutes then as compared to MBA form any state level colleges your salary will be higher than MBA
I will suggest you you prefer according to your interest in field so that you can do excellence in that field
