Skills that lead you to success |
After 12th it is a whole new, different world for students. The world is growing more competitive. At such times, there are certain skills that give edge to one student over the other. You could be an engineer or a humanities student but you always need those skills to succeed in your respective field.
What are those skills?
You are not required to gather information by reading books; the skills are related to your personality. Your ability to interact with people, creativity, accountability, leadership qualities are some of the skills that are either inborn or learned through experience, but their importance in your career as well as in life can never be denied. Your attitude towards certain things shows your whole personality. You have to be someone who can lead the team as a single unit, if there are dissatisfied people in your team then it is a crowd not a team.
Why are these skills necessary?
When you apply for a job, there are hundreds of candidates who are just as intelligent as you are but it is these skills that separate two candidates from each other and leads to ones rejection and others approval. Moreover, as I have already said, these skills are not required solely for a job but they also help you personally by helping you become a better person. These skills also help you as a student as you are able to adjust your time in a better way, study to your maximum potential and perform your best in an exam.
How to improve these skills?
You donʼt need to attend any classes to learn these skills. As I have already said, the skills are either ingrained or obtained through experience, so, it is you who helps yourself to develop the skills. You need to assess your abilities and accept your mistakes and then try to improve yourself.
If you are not able to assess your strength and weaknesses then find out about them from your close friends and relatives. See what was common in what they said and then improve upon it.
If you are an introvert then there are bound to be difficulties working with people. Go out more, attend more functions, they are the best classes that groom you for a better social life and hence for being a better leader or a better team member.
You need to realize that your critics can actually be your true friends, for if it were not for their criticism you would never have become better. It is foolish to disregard a personʼs opinion about you completely. You might not be the kind of person other thinks you to be, but it must have been your behaviour that formed his opinion about you. Most of the times we do not even realize how a single action or word of ours leads to a bad opinion about us. So, donʼt be sceptical about criticism, keep a positive attitude and watch as you succeed.
