Coaching Shops - Have you fallen into their trap?

Joining a coaching institute these days after 12th has become the same as attending a college for graduation.  Most of the students think of enrolling into a coaching class for better preparation for various entrance exams, mainly PMTs and engineering.  But then, how do you know which one is actually the best?  Not every student of the institute gets through those tough exams.  You come to know about the institutes either through others or through advertisements.  I have met many students who went to the best (that is what all of them claim to be) institute for PMT preparation and ended up doing BDS at a private college.  They were completely dejected by the kind of coaching they got.  More students mean more batches and that means a compromise with the quality of education in later batches.  Therefore, the question is whether those institutes are worth the kind of money that parents shell out.

It cannot be completely denied that studying in a coaching centre boosts your confidence but the weaknesses of an institute have to be assessed before joining it.  The best thing to do is look at the standard of the coaching institute yourself.  Do not just go by what you see in newspapers as even the coaching institute in the corner of your road would have one or two faces to show off and local newspapers must be full of their praise.  Talk to those who have studied in that institute, this would give a much better idea than asking your relatives or father’s friends.  It would be a good thing to join a two-year course rather than wasting one year after 12th as the pressure to qualify an entrance exam is tremendous while you are a little relaxed after your board exams, moreover it also lifts your board performance.

At the end of the day, it is your efforts that really pay off.  Coaching or no coaching belief in yourself and hard work are the two things that can get you through any difficult situation.  However, it is also the duty of coaching institute to impart the kind of education that they promised to.  It is their responsibility to give their best regardless of what batch it is.  The last batch deserves the same treatment as first for the simple reason that they pay the same.

So, be careful when you choose your coaching institute and watch out for those traps.
