I am microbiology student and interested upsc exam and confuse about paper selection so pl\\\\\\\'s gaide |

Most of the engineering students go with science subjects because they
are more comfortable with that.The choice of opting a subject in exam
like UPSC should be done by keeping the following factors in mind
- How much comfortable you are with the subjects
- Are you having any background of that so that you should not have to stat form scratch
- Your interest in subjects
- Study material available on subjects
and
not according to that how many students are opting for that particular
subject.Pick the subject in which you can score more and science
subjects are always scoring as compared to arts subjects.So go for it
but choose the right books and study material within time because
course content is too much for almost every subjects.For general
studies now a days exam pattern has been shifted to more towards
current affairs so study more magazines ans editorila in news paper
regularly besides the other subjects like constitution, economics,
History, Geography.Just have a look on last 5-year question paper of
chemistry as well as GS
Best of luck and work hard.There is o short cut for slearing the exam like UPSC.
