You can look for a job through job sites like Naukri.com, newspapers, placement consultants, or through your own networks of friends, relatives and colleagues. You can also apply directly to companies through the Careers section of their official websites.
Human Resources field has var ious sub-functions like recruitment, compensation & benefits, rewards & recognition, employee relations, policies & procedures, performance management, training & development etc. A HR generalist role would include most of these. The options you have range from generalist roles where you get the exposure of majority of the HR functions & thereby a wholistic view of an HR setup. If you are keen to become a specialist you may join consulting organizations in recruitment, training, benchmarking, compensation & benefits.
