Here is a good article for you

Management is the key to success in any business,
enterprise and organisation either for profit or not for profit.
Managing resources both human and financial determines what shape a
particular venture will take on and how it will evolve in to an
organisation and meet the stated mission and vision goals. If these
resources are mismanaged or vital cues regarding the business future
are missed out, then the enterprise is set to go downhill.

Matching technology to drive the enterprise to garner profits is a
vital factor in today’s globally competitive business environment.
These are the issues that managers of any organisation have to deal
with.

Though one may have professional qualification – MBBS, BDS or B.
Tech, that alone will not be enough for people aspiring to get in to
business or venture out own their own. Also, even for people who are
professionally qualified and working in a particular industry, it is
better for them be aware of the processes and trends of that industry.

Business process and methods of doing business or running an
enterprise are constantly changing, people need to be able to
understand and adapt to the changing conditions. The only way one can
get an insight in to the changing conditions and forming strategy to
deal with the situation is possible by gaining knowledge about
management practices.

Getting a MBA degree would be the right approach. As you are a
dentist and will be pursuing a career in the healthcare sector, it
would be right on your part to do MBA in healthcare management.

It will give you an insight in to how healthcare administration
really works, what are the issues that need to be addressed by
professionals, how to minimise costs, manage resources in an efficient
manner and maximise return on investment. You will also be able to
better judge the future trends and utilise that knowledge to better
manage your own hospital or be better qualified to take up a career in
healthcare sector.

Department Of Hospital Management, Deccan School of Management
offers a two-and-a-half years Master of Hospital Management (MHM)
course. Graduates in any discipline with minimum 50 per cent marks are
eligible. The admission is based on entrance test rank, group
discussion and personal interview, conducted by Osmania University. The
course includes internship for six months.

Students are assessed in the areas of English Comprehension,
Business Knowledge, Health and Hospital Knowledge, Numerical Ability
and Reasoning. Each section has 40 multiple-choice questions. GD and
personal interview carry 25 marks each.
