How Electrical & Electronics is different? |

Electrical is called the Mother(Core) branch of engineering, while Electronics is it;s subset that;s why most of the IITs are not having Electronics a s separate branch but only Electrical engineering
As far as difference in syllabus is concerned till second year mos of th courses remained same but a little bit difference in 3rd year of engineering where it becomes more application oriented like in electrical engineering you read about Power Transmission & control while in Electronics you read more about digital circuit>in simple language Electrical is more on power generation and distribution while electronics is more on small or say micro application like transistor, diode,Chips etc
Even it create a lot of difference at the time of placement as most of the software companies recruit Electronics students and not Electrical as they are not having the programming curriculum that's why Electronics is the second choices after computer science in engineering as far as job opportunities are concerned
