I am b.tech computer science graduate got pass out in last June.i want to know abot m.tech in astro subjects? now,i am working in technopark.i have plan to attend JEST and GATE exmas next year .being a computer science graduate,can i jump to astro field?..what are the options i have for getting a m.tech or Ph.D in astronomy and astrophysics?do the guys with m.tech in astrophysics have a good opportunity in ISRO?besides,if i do m,tech in computer science and engg,am i eligible to go for Ph.D in astro?please reply me.i want a detailed reply..

Yes you can opt for M.Tech and Ph.D in astro subjects for your information here is the eligibility criteria for a combined M.Tech-Ph.D program by Indian Institute of Astrophysics

Eligibility
The Integrated M.Tech- PhD (Tech) Programme will admit bright, highly
motivated students with a three years B.Tech. degree (Post BSc Hons) in
Optics and Optoelectronics / Radio Physics and Electronics from CU or
B.Tech / BE degree in Electrical/ Instrumentation/ Electronics and
Communications /Computer Science and Engineering from an institution
recognized by AICTE
. A candidate with M.Sc degree in Physics /
Electronic Science / Applied Mathematics /Applied Physics from a UGC
recognized institution is also eligible to apply.
